October is LGBTQ+ History Month and we hope you can make it out to these events! This list will be updated as new events are announced, so keep an eye out!
Below are all of the LGBTQ+ focused events this month:
- October 3rd, 4 pm: UMBC LGBTQ Community Networking Event, a gathering of students, faculty, staff, and alumi to build connections and community! Located in Lower Flat Tuesdays. Find out more information from the myUMBC post here!
- October 7th, 4 pm: Between Women, a discussion for women-identified students in the LGBTQ+ community. Located in the Women's Center. Find out more information from the myUMBC post here!
- October 9th, 11 am: National Coming Out Day Tabling, the Women's Center is tabling with LGBTQ Resources in honor of National Coming Out Day later in the week. Located in the Common's Breezeway. Find out more information from the myUMBC post here!
- October 9th, 11:30 am: LGBTQ+ Student Union Fundraiser! Support the LSU at our Krispy Kreme fundraiser! Located in the Breezeway. Find out more information and sign up to help out at the myUMBC post here!
- October 9th, 4 pm: What's the T(ea): Equality for All?, a facilitated discussion on civil rights barriers affecting the LGBTQ+ community. Located in the Mosaic Center. Find out more information from the myUMBC post here!
- October 10th, 5 pm: National Coming Out Day Barbeque! Join the LGBTQ+ Student Union for their annual potluck barbeque! Located in Harbor Courtyard. Find out more information and sign up to bring something at the myUMBC post here!
- October 16th, 3 pm: Bagels & Banter: Pop-Up Discussion on Pronouns! The first installment in the Mosaic Center's new pop-up discussion series centered on pronouns for International Pronouns Day. Located in the Mosaic Center. Find out more information from the myUMBC post here!
- October 21st, 12 pm: Clear Mind | Calm Heart: Practicing Mindfulness, an LGBTQ+ Wellness event hosted by the Mosaic Center. Located in the Mosaic Center. Find out more information from and RSVP at the myUMBC post here!
