Hello all,
I'm happy to announce that our panels for the Spring 2020 semester are coming up soon! We hold these panels to help educate our community about LGBTQ communities, issues, and culture. We have two panels scheduled this semester for anyone who wishes to come out to them!
Our Trans101 Panel is on Tuesday, March 24th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm in the SportsZone. We will discuss what it means to be transgender and nonbinary and the specific challenges they face, and what can be done to better support these individuals.
Our LGBTQ101 Panel is on Tuesday, April 7th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm in the SportsZone. We will discuss the basics of the LGBTQ community: what it is, culture and problems surrounding it, and what it's like to be LGBTQ.
These panels aren't possible without your help! Anyone who is interested in helping volunteer for the panel: for setup: cleanup; reviewing questions; moderating; or being a panelist, are encouraged to fill out this Google Form, preferably by March 20th. We will email everyone before the panel and we ask that volunteers please show up early to help everything run smoothly. In the event that campus is closed for a panel, we will not hold that event this semester. If you have any questions, feel free to email Joey Odenwald at josepho1@umbc.edu.
VOLUNTEER HERE!
Thanks everyone! We hope to see you soon!
