In the second of a three-part series at the Baltimore Museum of Art called Necessity of Tomorrow(s), Ta-Nehisi Coates, author of Marvel Comic's Black Panther series, will be appearing with BMA Director Christopher Bedford for a public discussion about the current cultural moment.
LLC's Professor Christine Mallinson will be there as a sociolinguist, giving her take on language change and social justice in an interactive segment called New Words for a New Future.
The event is from 6 - 10 pm on May 17 and is free and open to the public on a first-come first-serve basis.
