The National Science Foundation's Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation's Bridge to the Doctorate Fellows program (LSAMP BD Fellows), is part of the University System of Maryland's LSAMP program. At the undergraduate level, LSAMP scholars are also Meyerhoff Scholars. The BD program is a bridge to the doctorate program that provides fellowships and professional development to its participants. BD Fellows come from all over the U.S., and have been undergraduate LSAMP students prior to becoming BD Fellows as graduate students here at UMBC. All BD Fellows participate in programs that are sponsored by the PROMISE AGEP. All BD Fellows are in STEM fields, as determined by their undergraduate degrees from U.S. institutions, and their graduate department at UMBC. The website for this program is http://lsampbd.umbc.edu.
