On October 14, 2022, Dr. Raza Khan led a group of students from Carrol County Community College to visit the UMBC campus. This is a continuous effort between faculty on both campus to foster collaboration and promote more students from community colleges to transfer to UMBC's 4 year college program. During the students' visit, Dr. Deepa Madan, a co-Director of the ME S-STEM Scholarship Program, showed the students her lab and described ongoing research projects in the ME department. The students also discussed with her on the transfer process and possible scholarship opportunity at UMBC.
