I. CLASS DEFINITION

The Events Planner is responsible for office management as well as the planning and implementation of all Donor Recognition Events and Major Donor Cultivation Events. This position will also be involved in gift processing and providing support to the development office by coordinating trustee development based meetings.

Overview: Event Managers are ambassadors for Creative Alliance, who work with staff, performers, volunteers, and patrons to ensure high caliber and memorable experiences at all events. This position mainly consists of evening and weekend hours during performances, screenings, and special events.

Box Office Assistants act as ambassadors for Creative Alliance, assist patrons, and help with day to day operations of the box office. This position mainly consists evening and weekend hours during performances, screenings, and special events.

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and administration of the Society. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors. The Executive Director is the public face of the HSBC and represents the Society at events and within the community.

Publications Manager and Editor

The Publications Manager and Editor is a full-time, 35-hour per week position. The position is responsible for the Maryland Historical Magazine and the Society’s book publishing program. The position also functions as the Society’s staff liaison to the Publications Committee.
