  <Title>Entrepreneurship URAs due FEBRUARY 16</Title>

    <p>Are you interested in conducting research, but require money or mentorship to get started? If this sounds familiar, you’ll be interested in the <strong>Entrepreneurship Undergraduate Research Awards</strong>. This year marks the introduction of Entrepreneurship URAs<strong>, </strong>which will award up to $1,500 to undergraduate researchers developing a solution to either a technical or social problem in collaboration with a UMBC faculty member. These solutions can be products, services, address a social or “green” concern, or promote ideas that generate artistic value—be creative! The only requirement is that you must be enrolled as a UMBC student for the duration of the work proposed.</p>

    <h3><span>Announcing the Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition (CBIC) – Prizes up to $5K!!!</span></h3>
    <span><br></span><h4><span>What is the CBIC?</span></h4>
    <span><br>The Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition (CBIC) is a unique opportunity for UMBC graduate and undergraduate students who are serious about starting a business.  Participants will experience the process of planning a startup business by submitting a competitive and realistic 3-5 page business plan, which will be judged by members of the Baltimore Angels (real investors!).  Qualifiers will present their ideas in a final<br>competition, where cash prizes will be given out.<br><br></span><h4><span>Prizes:</span></h4>
    <span><br>First Prize= $3,000<br>Second Prize = $2,000<br>Third Prize = $1,000</span><span></span><p><span><br>After a 6-month review, an additional $2,000 is available to one of the top 3 winners.</span><span><br><br></span></p>
