Dayshift Gallery Officer

Job Location: Operations

We have an immediate opening in our Security Department for a full time gallery officer on the dayshift; core work schedule is 9:15am to 5:15pm, Wednesday through Sunday. The individual will have responsibility for preparing the galleries for daily operation, monitoring activities in the Museum and implementing museum procedures as needed.

Single Carrot Theatre (SCT) leads a theatre education program at Margaret Brent Elementary/Middle School and are seeking an education intern to assist with its afterschool program on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00-3:30 as well as meet with teaching artists to assist with planning rehearsals and organizing production elements.

Single Carrot Theatre (SCT) leads a theatre education program at Margaret Brent Elementary/Middle School and are seeking a choreographer with a background in hip hop dance to assist with a productions as part of its afterschool program on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00-3:30.

The Baltimore Museum of Industry is looking for an energetic, creative and knowledgeable Community Programs Manager to conceptualize and implement a creative suite of programs serving adult and intergenerational audiences. Reporting to the Director of Interpretation and working collaboratively with other museum staff, the Community Programs Manager creates programming that is engaging and timely, focused on fostering dialog and increasing the museum’s visibility and role in the community.

Come to this workshop with Michael Tucker and find out what investors want to hear when you pitch your business plan to them. Join us tomorrow in the Commons room 318 on Wednesday, February 22 between 12-1 pm. This is a great opportunity for students interested in entering the CBIC this spring!  

Based on his experience helping companies raise their first round of capital, Michael will discuss how best to pitch potential investors. He'll outline the various traction companies typically need to raise money, who early stage investors typically are (the importance of knowing your audience), and the necessary items needed to include in your pitch.  He'll also go over example pitch decks from companies that have successfully raised money.

This talk will be particularly helpful for students interested in entering the Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition this spring.  Michael will emphasize the key criteria the judges will be evaluating in the competition.  Don't miss this one!!!

Michael is the Director and only full-time employee at Baltimore Angels (http://www.baltimoreangels.com/). He manages the group's deal flow, due diligence analysis, financial modeling, and all of their events, marketing, and partnerships. He is a Venture for America (http://www.ventureforamerica.org/) alum, has started and successfully exited his own businesses, and has a background in tech, finance, and real-estate. He graduated with a BBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School.
