Job Profile & Description

The Graphic Designer works closely with the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and other members of the BSO Marketing team in the development of advertising and marketing collateral for both our Baltimore-Area (Meyerhoff) and DC-Area (Strathmore) patrons, all while maintaining the BSO's brand standards. Designed assets may include, but are not limited to, newspaper and magazine advertising, brochures, posters, direct mail, flyers, vinyl banners, printed and digital signage both in and out of home, digital graphics and web ads.

As a vital part of the Guest Services Department and Port Discovery team, Museum Experience Associates are responsible for providing guests with an excellent, memorable experience, stellar customer service, and supporting the Museum’s mission and educational philosophy. As a member of our team, you’ll support playful learning and discovery through meaningful interaction with children and adults, ignite imaginations, and promote the power of play in children through hands-on experiences.

About Megan

Megan Wahler is the Director of Entrepreneurial Services at bwtech@umbc. In this role, she works with bwtech companies to find funding, resources, and mentorship as well as provide strategic support in sales, recruiting, and general business support.  Prior to joining bwtech, Megan worked at the

Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures FastForward group in a similar role. Megan founded Ryan Edwards Communications, LLC in 2013, a print manufacturing and logistics company to cruise lines including Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Disney Cruise Lines and Carnival UK.

The Director of Marketing reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. This position works very closely with the Director of Ticket Services and Analytics, and supervises the Marketing and Advertising Manager, the Director of Audience Engagement and the Senior Graphic Designers.

The Assistant Director of Communications will provide strategic direction to and oversight of PR initiatives of the Marketing and Communications department to ensure that the world-renowned Baltimore Symphony Orchestra receives the best and broadest possible media exposure for the full range of its activities locally, nationally and internationally.
