Sales Position:

To be successful in our fast paced art gallery, you must be dynamic & self motivated. Candidates must have an upbeat and professional demeanor, a desire to help our clientele "personalize" their homes and offices with art, and excellent closing skills.

JOB PURPOSE

The Digital Marketing Associate is responsible for managing and implementing all web content and email initiatives to support the BSO’s goals of driving earned revenue online and deepening patron engagement. This position will serve as the primary lead for maintenance of the BSO’s website (BSOmusic.org). Successful candidates must have 1-3 years prior experience in a digital marketing or e-commerce role.

GBCA

The Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance (GBCA) nurtures and promotes a vibrant, diverse, and sustainable arts and cultural community, essential to the region’s quality of life. GBCA supports the needs of more than 400 members from the Baltimore region (Baltimore City and the five surrounding counties) including arts, culture, history, and heritage organizations, as well as individual artists. GBCA requires a strong infrastructure to steward its members and to develop new programs and initiatives.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Community Concerts at Second seeks a full time Managing Director. Currently the organization presents a schedule of 16 live concerts on Sunday afternoons and evenings from September through June. Concerts are held at Second Presbyterian Church at 4200 Saint Paul Street. Previous Managing Directors served as independent contractors in a part-time capacity.

OVERVIEW

The PNC Scholars/Fellows Program is available for UMBC graduate and undergraduate students and awards can be applied as academic scholarships or “seed funding” for an entrepreneurial venture.  Deadline for applying is February 24, 2017.

The PNC Scholars/Fellows Program provides awards up to $3,000 to outstanding UMBC students interested in becoming an entrepreneur. The scholarship will be awarded for the 2016 - 2017 academic year. The awards will be used as academic scholarships (up to $1,000), or as “seed funding” (up to $2,000) to launch new ventures or community based social entrepreneurship projects.  

CRITERIA:

·         Submit a 1-2 page personal statement about their interest in entrepreneurship.  The statement should:

·         Describe the impact an academic scholarship will have on their future as an entrepreneur or social innovator or

·         Describe how the award money will be used as “seed funding” to launch a new venture, or “seed funding” to launch a community based social entrepreneurship project.  Submit a preliminary budget outlining anticipated expenses.

·         Submit an updated resume

·         Have a minimum GPA of 3.0

The BSO invites applications for a highly collaborative and innovative Director of Philanthropic Planning, responsible for developing, implementing and managing a comprehensive gift planning program to include prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of a broad range of charitable gifts including bequests, trusts, life insurance, life income gifts, IRA designations and occasional gifts of complex assets.

The Baltimore chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) will host the state’s first ever Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) competition in January, where selected students will present their businesses and entrepreneurial practices for the chance to win cash, mentorship, exposure for business and a chance at the national title.

The first place winner will receive $1,500 and will move on to the national competition, all expenses paid, in Kansas City, Missouri on March 6, 2017, for a chance to compete in the global finals in Frankfurt, Germany. The second place winner will receive $500 cash and other donations.

“The GSEA competition offers a premium experience to student entrepreneurs around the world looking to build their businesses,” said Kathleen Clem, GSEA chair for EO Baltimore. “We’re thrilled to be opening up a regional competition to local Baltimore students for this first time in 2017, and thanks to the level of talent from local universities, we expect a very competitive event.”

To compete in GSEA, applicants must be actively enrolled as an undergraduate at a recognized college or university, and also are primarily responsible for the operation of a revenue-generating business for at least six months prior to competition.

The applicants’ businesses must be structured as for-profit or social enterprise and must have generated at least $500 in revenue or received $1,000 in investments at the time of application.

Originally founded at the John Cook School of Business at Saint LouisUniversity, GSEA has been honoring outstanding undergraduate entrepreneurs since 1998, and was adopted by EO in 2006.
