          Young Audiences is seeking enthusiastic, hardworking artists/teachers to serve as teaching artist assistants for its Summer Arts and Learning Academy operated in partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools.  This job is a key component of the success of the academy, and teaching assistants will have the opportunity to work alongside some of our state’s most experienced and accomplished professional teaching artists. Assistants will be paired with a teaching artist for the entirety of the program and will work closely with them to plan and implement lessons in their given art form.  Assistants will assist with set-up and breakdown, assist students in learning through the art form, assist with attendance and record keeping, and assist with the coordination of student showcases and performances/exhibitions throughout the city.  Assistants will also accompany students, teaching artists and staff on field trips.</p></div>

    <p>DATABASE AND GRANTS MANAGER (SKILLED SERVICE)</p>
    <p>SALARY RANGE: $41,358 – $65,827</p>
    <p>The Maryland Department of Commerce is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Database and Grants Manager (Agency Grants Specialist II) within its Division of Tourism, Film and the Arts, Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC). The primary responsibilities of this position will be to manage database systems and reporting functions for MSAC grant programs. The incumbent will also supervise a Management Associate. The position is responsible for all database management and related reporting activities for 800+ grantees annually.     <p><u><span>About John</span></u></p>
    
    <p><span>John J. Schveibinz is the Founder and Owner of Paxridge
    Technology, LLC, a technical consulting firm. He is also a mentor with SCORE of
    Greater Baltimore, an Electrical Engineer, an Angel Investor and a UMBC
    Alumnus. His focus is on encouraging positive change through technology and
    innovation. He has experience in business startup, management, M&amp;A, technical
    management, business development, engineering design, government contracts,
    education, and business finance &amp; investment. He is a member of the
    Baltimore Angels, and is the SCORE representative to UMBC. He has counseled and
    advised numerous UMBC students regarding their business ideas. He has a MSEE
    from Johns Hopkins University, a MA in Teaching from UMBC, a BSEE from the
    University of Akron and a Certificate of CoOp Education.</span></p>
