    <Title>Baltimore Clayworks seeks Marketing Coordinator</Title>

          <p>Position: Marketing Coordinator</p>
          <p>This position is responsible for marketing and public relations at Baltimore Clayworks. The position works closely with the Development and Executive Director to design and implement an annual marketing plan and budget as well as develop strategic goals related advertising and public relations. The position requires demonstrated abilities to work effectively with a wide variety of people, excellent time and detail management skills, graphic design skills, communication skills both written and verbal, an ability to develop relationships with the media and graphic design skills. Baltimore Clayworks is currently looking at integrating additional online strategies into marketing and advertising, the Marketing Coordinator will take the lead on implementing new strategies and media in marketing efforts.</p>

    <p><u><span>About John</span></u></p>
    
    <p><span>John J. Schveibinz is the Founder and Owner of Paxridge
    Technology, LLC, a technical consulting firm. He is also a mentor with SCORE of
    Greater Baltimore, an Electrical Engineer, an Angel Investor and a UMBC
    Alumnus. His focus is on encouraging positive change through technology and
    innovation. He has experience in business startup, management, M&amp;A, technical
    management, business development, engineering design, government contracts,
    education, and business finance &amp; investment. He is a member of the
    Baltimore Angels, and is the SCORE representative to UMBC. He has counseled and
    advised numerous UMBC students regarding their business ideas. He has a MSEE
    from Johns Hopkins University, a MA in Teaching from UMBC, a BSEE from the
    University of Akron and a Certificate of CoOp Education.</span></p>

    <Title>Kick-off Event for "Baltimore Stories" Program on March 23rd</Title>

          <div>"Baltimore Stories: Narratives in the Life of an American City" is a year-long, grant-funded educational program examining narrative, race and power. The program will kick-off on Wednesday, March 23rd with a free public forum, led by the University of Maryland Arts and Humanities Center for Synergy and Maryland Humanities Council, at Westminster Hall in Baltimore. Morning speakers will include David Simon, author, journalist and writer of Homicide: Life on the Streets and The Wire, and Dr. Khalil Gibran Muhammad, historian and director of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. The afternoon session will be a response to the morning's ideas and will include University of Maryland historian Dr. Christopher Bonner and a panel of local humanists, public intellectuals, activists and the audience.     <div>Previously in UMBC history, traffic and parking related issues were handled by the SGA who appointed a student run Traffic Court. The court met in the basement of Dorm II where it often dealt with reducing and waiving fines from parking violations on the UMBC campus. An <a href="http://contentdm.ad.umbc.edu/cdm/ref/collection/Retriever/id/13119" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">article </a>in <em>The Retriever </em>from 1972<em> </em><span>details an upset UMBC Chief of Security because the SGA had not yet appointed a new student traffic court, leading to an overflow of 75 parking tickets awaiting action. </span>
