Just a reminder that the CBIC Is Around the Corner! It's time to start preparing for the annual Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition!  

The CBIC is designed for students who are serious about starting a business or social impact venture. Students selected to go to the final competition will be paired with mentors to flesh out their business idea. This year, the Center will offer 2 tracks: The Technology and Innovation Track and The Social Impact Track. Winners in each track will win up to $3,000 with an opportunity to win an additional $2,000 after a 6 month progress review. Here are the important dates to remember:

- Deadline for idea submissions: TODAY February 26 at 1pm!

- Final Event: April 11 from 7 - 9pm

The Alex. Brown Center’s next event of the semester will be held TODAY Friday, February 23rd from 11:30-1pm in Commons 331!

The Idea Pitch Day event is a great time to get feedback on your idea or existing business and find other students that might be interested in helping you as well as learning more about the Idea Challenge Competition. This is the perfect opportunity for students who want to enter the competition to informally pitch their idea to an audience as a way to receive feedback in a casual, relaxed setting.

If you aren't sure you're ready to submit an idea, that's OK! This event is a great time to get feedback on your preliminary idea or existing business, and to find other students interested in helping you. It will also give you a chance to learn more about the ABCEI's competitions and events.

Check out the The Joseph and Frieda Faiman Eisenberg/VPC Endowed Scholarship and The PNC Scholars/Fellows Program! The deadline for submission is NEXT FRIDAY March 1, 2024.
