Early Learning Outreach Specialist:

Young Audiences is seeking a driven individual with a strong background in the early childhood space and a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong partnerships. This is an independent contractor role and will partner with YAMD’s Education Director of Statewide Initiatives to market and increase trust in and utilization of our early learning programs, including the Early Learning Portal.

About Early Learning at YAMD

A member of the Peabody Institute’s Marketing and Communications Office, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for managing the Institute’s social media strategy and channels and creating and producing high-quality content for the Institute’s social media, digital promotions, and livestreamed events. This position will drive the implementation of impactful online tactics and content to support Conservatory student recruitment, Preparatory enrollment, marketing for new courses and product lines, concert and event promotion, and Institute-wide branding and development, among other marketing and communications campaigns. 

The Director of Administration is responsible for ensuring that the organization is operating efficiently and that Maryland Humanities’ financial records are up to date and accurate. This position is the primary liaison with accounting vendors (bookkeeper, auditor, etc).

The Director of Administration reports to the Executive Director, is supported by and supervises the Office Manager, and works in close collaboration with Senior Staff as well as the Finance and Executive Committees and the Audit Sub-committee of the Board.

Port Discovery Children's Museum provides experiences that ignite imagination, inspire learning, and nurture growth through play. We are currently looking for talented, friendly and outgoing Box Office Associates.

Currently, the museum is open on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, plus some holidays. Work schedules are:

Kramer Installation, Inc, has provided fine art services to interior designers, private collectors, art consultants and commercial clientele or over 20 years. Based out of the Baltimore area, we are looking for a detail oriented person as an Art Installer for our growing business. This position’s primary responsibility would be residential installations as well as packing and transporting fine art. Part Time and Full time positions available.

Tell us about your internship, co-op, or research opportunity, including your day-to-day responsibilities.

The Museum of the Bible has granted me the responsibility of the development of educational programing for K-12 visitors. My duties include scholarly research, the design of activities, the writing of budgets, the obtainment of materials, the creation of prototypes, and the interaction with visitors on the floor of the museum. 

Describe the process of obtaining your position. When did you hear of the position and submit your application?

I heard of this position in early October of 2020 and subsequently submitted my application on October 12th. 

What have you enjoyed the most about your position or organization? 

Amongst my peers, I often find myself alone in my interest in religious art. It is a great joy to work amongst colleagues who share my profound interest in biblical history and theology. 

How do you believe you have made an impact through your work?

The education carts which I am in the process of developing will serve as the face of the museum. Engaging the museum guests by means of this programming will allow families, particularly students, to better immerse themselves with the knowledge our museum holds

What advice would you give to another student who is seeking an internship or similar experience? 

Due to the fierce competition often involved in obtaining an internship or similar experience, it is vital to devote oneself to research and to learn to write excellent, creative cover letters.

The Publications Marketing Intern will support the Maryland Center for History and Culture’s book publishing efforts within the Publications Department. The intern will gain experience working in a collaborative, nonprofit setting and assisting with specific activities related to book marketing and sales at MCHC— the oldest continuously operating cultural institution in Maryland. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this internship is currently a virtual opportunity.
