Depending on road conditions, UMBC Transit may be subject to delays or closure. We will assess road conditions on an hourly basis. Beginning Jan 2, 2018 all routes (except Arbutus / Irvington) will start and end at Park Rd & Poplar Ave. The Arbutus route will continue to start at Commons Dr. & Park Rd. and end at Hilltop Cir. & Center Rd. The schedule times will stay unchanged.

Due to an accident and road blockage - at Hilltop Circle and the Administration Building. The Arbutus/ Irvington, Catonsville, and Downtown route will not be able to service Administration bus shelter stop, Hilltop Rd & Hilltop Cir, and Walker Ave. Riders waiting for the shuttle at this stop is encouraged to use Admin Circle - Flagpole for pick ups and drop offs.

We are running low on food - can you help?
Please share with others who can donate food for students
We are in great need of the following items:
Healthy non-sugar sweetened cereals (think Cheerios, Raisin Bran, Oatmeal)
Peanut Butter
Nuts
Spaghetti Sauce
Canned fruit packed in its own juice or made with Splenda
Jelly
Canned tuna packed in water
Canned chicken packed in water
Healthy snacks
Some of our students are skipping meals to pay for books or to pay their rent. Every single non-perishable food item that is donated makes a huge difference to those who are struggling.
We are hoping departments will host food drives at their holiday parties.
We have a team of student volunteers who will pick up the food from you.
Food can also be dropped off at the RAC (to the left as you walk in), Library (to the right as you walk in), Admin (in front of elevators) and Commons (by reception desk). Look for the bright yellow box that says Retriever Essentials.

MARC Service Alert: Penn Line Schedule Change November 18th
Many changes to southbound trains and some northbound trains
Amtrak has notified MARC Train that the trackwork between West Baltimore and Odenton will be completed on schedule. There will be a Penn Line schedule change, effective Saturday, November 18 / Monday November 20.
The new timetable is available online at www.mta.maryland.gov/marc-train
There are many changes to Southbound service:
- Nearly all southbound trains at all stations have adjusted times as the southbound track is returned to service. Please carefully review the new timetable and verify the new times for the trains you ride.
- Morning trains at West Baltimore, Halethorpe, and BWI Marshall Airport will return to the regular southbound platform.
- Train 511 (5:40am departure from Perryville / 6:25am departure from Baltimore) will depart all stations five minutes later.
There are some minor adjustments to Northbound trains:
- Train 404 (6:35am departure from Washington) will once again stop at BWI.
- Train 430 (now the 4:23pm departure from Washington) will depart all stations THREE MINUTES EARLIER (restoring the departure time of 4:20pm).
- Train 532 (now the 4:25pm departure from Washington) will depart all stations THREE MINUTES EARLIER (restoring the departure time of 4:22pm).
- Train 448 (now the 7:45pm departure from Washington) will depart all stations FIVE MINUTES EARLIER (restoring the departure time of 7:40pm).
In addition, there are two changes to the weekend schedule:
- Train 487 (Saturday and Sunday 1:45pm departure from Baltimore) will depart all stations FIVE MINUTES EARLIER.
- Train 480 (Sunday 10:40am departure from Washington) will depart all stations ten minutes later.
Timetables are available for download at www.mta.maryland.gov/marc-train . Printed copies will be available by November 15th.
