Published in 2019, Talking to Strangers is the most recent book from best-selling author Malcolm Gladwell. Starting in the early years of the 21st century, Gladwell became a phenomenon for his writing method and unique way of communicating information through a series of seemingly, at least on the surface, unfocused stories and anecdotes. The book is a fascinating examination of the ways in which we as humans approach the issue of trust and assuming that the many strangers that we deal with are being truthful with us, even though we have all heard many horror stories of times when this has not been the case. Gladwell takes us through a series of interesting historical and modern-day examples that prove his point, and in the process constructs a thought-provoking narrative.
