Cord Pick-Up Information – Cultural Celebration & Awards

For those who RSVP’d to our Cultural Celebration & Awards but are unable to attend, we are offering an option to pick up your cord next week in The Mosaic (Room 2B23, The Commons, Second Floor).

Pick-Up Times:

  • Monday, May 19: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Tuesday, May 20: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Wednesday, May 21: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Cords will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis for those who did not RSVP ahead of time. If you did not RSVP, you will be asked to provide your name and email at the time of pick-up.

Happy last day of classes! From all of us at The Mosaic, we wish you the best on your finals. The Mosaic will close for the Spring 2025 semester at 5pm on Wednesday, May 21. We will provide further information concerning our summer hours here on our myUMBC.

Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will not be considered.


Purpose:

The Women's Forum commends and celebrates the achievements of students, faculty, and staff from across the system through award and scholarship programs. All awards and scholarships are open to any individual regardless of gender identity, race, color, religion, age, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status or disability.

Eligibility:

The University System of Maryland (USM) Women's Forum Student Scholarship is open to any student who meets the following criteria:

- Attending a USM institution,
- All gendering identities are welcome to apply, 
- Earned a minimum of 48 undergraduate OR 12 graduate credits (by June 1, 2025),
- Plan to enroll as a student for the Fall 2025 term,
- Currently has a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for undergraduate OR 3.25 for graduate at your USM institution (upload an unofficial university transcript),
- Students are eligible for only one scholarship per lifetime.

Use of Funds:

Students who receive the scholarship can use the awarded funds for any of the following:
- USM institution tuition
- Housing costs (ie rent, mortgage, utilities)
- Groceries
- Books for courses
- Technology for courses
- Child care
- Transportation
