There is nothing conventional about UMBC. If you want something to happen, just do it. This campus was built by us, and there is always room for improvements. We have such a sense of community at UMBC, which just makes everything that much more real. These things all had the goal of educating students through community, outside of the classroom. That's really where I found my passion to be at UMBC - empowerment through education.   <Title>Upcoming Campus Visits for Finalists for Dean of COEIT</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><table border="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td><div><div><span>Dear Members of the UMBC Community,</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>I am writing to update you on the progress of UMBC’s search for the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology and to thank you for the valuable input we have received so far.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span>After a round of interviews, the search committee has narrowed the candidates to four finalists. Each of those finalists will visit the campus over the next few days. As a part of each visit, the search committee will host a candidate forum open to all members of the community. The forums will be held on the following dates and times:</span></div><div><ul><li><span>Tuesday, May 16, <span><span>12 - 1 p.m.</span></span>, 7th Floor Lobby</span></li><li><span><span><span>Wednesday, May 17</span></span>, <span><span>12 - 1 p.m.</span></span>, AD 101 Lecture Hall 3</span></li><li><span><span><span>Thursday</span></span>, <span><span>May 18</span></span>, <span><span>12 - 1 p.m.</span></span>, 7th Floor Lobby</span></li><li><span><span><span>Monday, May 22</span></span>, <span><span>12 - 1 p.m.</span></span>, 7th Floor Lobby</span></li></ul></div><div><span>The search committee will provide opportunities for input after each forum.
