The National Institute on Aging (NIA)is looking to bring in extremely motivated, highly qualified students from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about conducting biomedical research.  The NIA would like to encourage your students to apply to the SIP.  In the past, we have had students from your institution apply, be selected for the program and have had extremely successful summers with us. 

The deadline for applying is March 1, 2013!

Therefore, it’s with great pleasure that UMBC is invited to participate in the 2013 GEICO Achievement Award Program, designed to recognize outstanding college students in business, mathematics, computer science and related fields. 

This program requires that applicants:

·         Are currently enrolled full-time

·         Possess sophomore or junior status

·         Have at least a 3.0 overall undergraduate GPA

·         Are majoring in business, computer science, mathematics or a related program (including economics, MIS, statistics)

·         Have demonstrated leadership within their campus and/or community
