           finals (May 15th, 16th, 19th, 20th, and 21st), SDS will be open for 
          testing between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm each testing day.  Remember that <span><strong>most</strong> finals must be booked in SDS by May 10th</span> but no later than May 13th (the last day of classes). <span><strong>You should schedule all of your Main Campus in-person finals NOW</strong>.</span></span></div><div><span><span><br></span></span></div><div><span><span>You must already be approved for testing accommodations and have already submitted a Semester Request in Accommodate for Spring 2025.</span></span></div></div>

Inhaled corticosteroid-containing medications are essential for managing symptoms and preventing severe attacks, yet access to these treatments remains limited in many parts of the world due to high cost or lack of availability.</span><br><br><span>This year, the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) is calling on healthcare professionals, governments, manufacturers, and policy makers to take urgent action to ensure that all individuals with asthma can access the medications they need to live healthy, full lives.</span><br><br><span>It’s also important to recognize that not all experiences of asthma or allergies rise to the level of a disability or create barriers in educational or work environments but for some, the symptoms can be severe enough that adjustments or alternatives are necessary.     During my internship at Amplify MedTech, I have been actively involved in various aspects of marketing and market research, contributing significantly to the company's growth and visibility in the MedTech sector. My primary responsibilities include creating and implementing strategic digital marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing brand awareness and fostering community engagement. On a daily basis, I manage and optimize our social media presence by curating impactful content designed to expand audience reach and strengthen our digital presence. Additionally, I produce essential marketing research insights that inform strategic decision-making, facilitating both audience expansion and improved market positioning. This experience has allowed me to develop valuable skills in research analytics, digital content strategy, and professional communication, all of which align closely with my career goals and academic background.</p>
    <p><strong>Describe the process of obtaining your position. When did you hear of the position and submit your application?:</strong><br>
    I first discovered the internship opportunity with Amplify MedTech through Handshake, UMBC's career and internship platform. After submitting my application, I went through the selection process and was subsequently connected with Amplify MedTech through the UMBC Career Center's Shattuck Family Internship Program for Entrepreneurship. The Career Center provided exceptional support during the onboarding phase, ensuring a seamless transition into my role. Their guidance and resources made the onboarding process smooth and effective, enabling me to quickly integrate into the team and actively contribute to Amplify MedTech's initiatives.</p>
    <p><strong>What resources did you use to find your current experience?:</strong><br>

    <p><strong>What have you enjoyed the most about your position and organization?:</strong><br>
    What I've enjoyed most about my role at Amplify MedTech is the opportunity to directly contribute to meaningful projects that impact the MedTech community. I've particularly valued engaging in creative marketing initiatives and insightful market research, supported by a team that encourages innovation. The collaborative environment at Amplify MedTech has continuously inspired me to learn, explore new ideas, and enhance my professional skills.</p>

    <div class="html-content"><strong>Applications are open for the Women's, Gender &amp; Equity Center Graduate Assistantship for the 2025-26 School year! </strong><div><br></div><div><a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScGAvOJZoowfi5lUtKleUHJtBcpgJOy26m7aXAxFqlWZpQU4A/viewform?usp=dialog" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Complete the Google Form and send us your resume, cover letter, and a writing sample here.</a></div><div><br></div><div><div>The Women's, Gender, &amp; Equity Center at UMBC is seeking applications for a Graduate Assistantship (GA) for Fall 2025, with potential continuation into Spring 2026. This role emphasizes assessment, data analysis, and research to support the Center's initiatives.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Qualifications:</strong></div><div><ul><li>Current graduate student at UMBC enrolled for Fall 2025 and planning to enroll for Spring 2026.</li><li>Academic good standing (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to advancing gender equity through an intersectional feminist lens.</li><li>Experience or strong interest in assessment, data collection, and research methodologies.</li><li>Proficiency or willingness to learn data analysis software/tools (e.g., SPSS, Excel, Qualtrics).</li></ul></div><div><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></div><div><ul><li>Assist with the design and implementation of assessment strategies for programs and services offered by the Women's, Gender, &amp; Equity Center.</li><li>Collect, manage, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate program effectiveness and student engagement.</li><li>Compile research findings into accessible reports and presentations for diverse campus stakeholders.</li><li>Conduct literature reviews and background research to inform and enhance Center programming.</li><li>Collaborate closely with staff to translate research findings into actionable recommendations.</li><li>Plan and facilitate programs and support groups specifically tailored for graduate students</li><li>Contribute to writing blog posts or brief articles reflecting research outcomes and insights relevant to gender equity and social justice.</li></ul></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Application Requirements: </strong></div><div><br></div><div>To be considered for this Graduate Assistantship position, applicants must complete the following steps:</div><div><br></div><div><ol><li>Fill out the online Google Form application.</li><li>Submit through the provided Box submission link a cover letter highlighting your interest in gender equity, assessment, group facilitation, and research.</li><li>Submit through the provided Box submission link a recent copy of your resume/CV.</li><li>Submit through the provided Box submission link one writing sample (maximum of 4 pages, double-spaced), ideally demonstrating research or assessment skills.
