    <Title>Labor Day is Monday, what do you plan to do on your day off?</Title>

          <div class="html-content">Monday (Labor Day) is going to be another hot one according to the weather forecast (91 degrees). Put on your swimsuits and trunks; the outdoor swimming pool at the RAC will be open from 1:00pm to 4:00pm (enter through the tennis courts).<div><br></div><div>Take a trip around town!           <div class="html-content">If you’ve got too much to carry, consider stashing some of your books in a locker!  The AOK Library has lockers that can be checked out on a daily or semester-ly basis (for free!).<br><br>​<strong>Daily lockers</strong> are available to UMBC students, faculty, and staff for a 24 hour period. Stop at the Check Out desk to pick up a key.  <br><br><strong>Semester lockers</strong> can be reserved for an entire semester at a time (Spring or Fall). Interested UMBC students, faculty and staff, please fill out the <a href="https://library.umbc.edu/studyrooms/lockers/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Locker Application Form</a>.<br>            <br><strong>Please note:</strong><br><ul><li>Materials kept in lockers and locker keys are the responsibility of the user.     <div class="html-content"><div><p>Have you completed research that you want to refine and publish?</p><p>Would you like to be able to put “published author” on your resume?</p><p>Would you like professional criticism on your writing from a peer and faculty reviewers?</p></div>The <em>UMBC Review: Journal of Undergraduate Research </em>is currently accepting submissions for Volume 20, which will be published in April, 2019, and premieres at URCAD. The deadline for all submissions is <span>September 14</span>.     you network with faculty both on and off campus, strengthen your resume for
    graduate school, professional school, and employment, support your artistic
    vision, and helps you apply what they’ve learned in the classroom in a research
    setting. UMBC has several programs that support undergraduate research:</span></p><p><span><br></span></p><p><span><span>Undergraduate
    Research and Creative Achievement Day (URCAD)</span><span>
    features research, scholarship, and creative work carried out by UMBC
    undergraduates. Student work is shared through oral presentations, posters,
    artistic exhibits, performances, and film.</span></span></p><p><span><span>Undergraduate
    Research Awards (URA) </span><span>provide up to $1,500 to
    undergraduate students to support their research or creative work with a UMBC
    faculty mentor on an original project. UMBC students of all years and
    disciplines are invited to apply.</span></span></p><p><span><span>UMBC Review</span><span> (Journal of Undergraduate
    Research)</span><span> Published annually, this peer-reviewed journal features academic
    papers written by UMBC undergraduates. </span></span></p><p><span><span>Travel
    Awards</span><span> Students who are invited to present their work at a conference or
    festival may apply for funds to support their travel.</span></span></p><p><span><span>Research
    Opportunities </span><span>Assistance with finding and
