During the summer of 2010 (first week of June through last week of August), SAIC is seeking an intern to: assist in experimental chamber operations; develop a test plan for measuring performance of candidate IR obscurant materials, develop and test concepts for material packaging and dissemination. Conduct internet/library searches for PI (principle investigator) on a range of scientific subjects. Document results of test plan (summary report). REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: US citizenship and one to three years completed towards a Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering physics or equivalent discipline (material science, chemistry, etc) and a desire to work with a diverse team of scientists and engineers. Must have quantifiable leadership experience through community or campus involvement. Additionally, Candidates must have a minimum 3.0 GPA overall. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
