The UMBC Down and Dirty Dawg Pep Band and Drumline are looking for new members that play the instruments above.  Benefits for joining the band include...
  • Earn $$$ to play your instrument!
  • Fulfill your PHED Gen-Ed requirement through the PHED 193 Marching and Pep Band class (offered to band/drumline members during the Spring semester).
  • Join a highly respected and recognized ensemble while gaining lots of performing experience.  No other ensemble at UMBC offers this many performance opportunities.
  • Travel with the basketball teams to the America East Conference Championships.  Travel with the teams if we make it to the NCAA.

Auditions are only required for guitars/percussion.  Band auditions arek optional, though only students who pass their audition will be eligible for the $15-20 per game stipend.  Tuba players are exempt from auditions and will automatically be paid a stipend.
