Our PHA Woman of the Month for December is Poulomi Banerjee!
Poulomi was Phi Sigma Sigma’s Diversity Chair this semester.
Poulomi is a double major in HAPP - Public Health and Gender & Women Studies. When she’s not in class or in a meeting, you’re bound to find her goofing off or working in the (seb) office. Poulomi was one of the first people to be on (seb)’s executive board as a freshman and is the incoming Vice President of Programming for the Spring semester! Poulomi is part of the STRiVE Class of 2013 and gained a lot of insight on leading her student organizations through the retreat. She spent this semester working as a Commuter Assistant for Good Morning Commuters through Off-Campus Student Services. At the beginning of the semester, Poulomi co-hosted the Public Service Announcements during Welcome Week. She is also working with members of SGA on the ProveIt initiative where students can win a grant to change the campus for the better with their own ideas!
Poulomi shows passion and enthusiasm in everything that she does. Even though she is very busy, Poulomi always has a smile on her face. She is incredibly friendly, loving, and kindhearted--always looking out for her sisters. Poulomi is supportive of her peers and loves Greek unity! She has successfully combined her work and social life by encouraging sororities and fraternities to participate in her (seb) events to bring different parts of UMBC together as one!
Congratulations, Poulomi!
