Occurred Date/Time: May 14, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m.


Description:


UMBC Police received a report of a fondling on May 19, 2023, at 3:04 p.m. The fondling occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. on May 14, 2023 in the Harbor Hall Courtyard. The victim reported the unknown suspect engaged them in conversation while they were walking back to their residence hall and fondled the victim when they walked by an isolated area in the courtyard of Harbor Hall.

Reported Incident: Stolen Vehicle Airbags

Description:


On May 4, 2023, UMBC Police received reports of Honda vehicles with broken windows and stolen airbags. The incidents occurred sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 7:11 p.m. on May 4, 2023, in Lot 1 and Lot 23 and on Hilltop Circle near the Administration Garage. In all incidents, the unknown suspect(s) broke the front driver's side window to gain access to the vehicle. 


In a possibly related incident on the same date, witnesses observed two young males in Lot 22 break a vehicle window and leave in a blue sedan.

UMBC Police received a report of an attempted motor vehicle theft on April 24, 2023, at 5:29 p.m. The attempted motor vehicle theft occurred between 9:00 p.m. on April 23, 2023, and 5:29 p.m. on April 24, 2023, in the Stadium Lot. The unknown suspect(s) gained entry by breaking a window and attempted to bypass the ignition switch.

Description: 

A series of motor vehicle thefts and attempted motor vehicle thefts were reported to UMBC Police on April 4 and April 5, 2023. The reported incidents occurred on Hilltop Circle, in the Stadium Lot and Lot 23 between April 1 and April 5, 2023. The unknown suspect(s) gained entry by breaking the vehicles' windows.

On April 3, 2023, the UMBC Police Department received a report of a sexual assault that occurred in an on-campus student apartment on April 2, 2023. The victim, a resident student, reported being raped by an unknown male. UMBC Police are working with local authorities to investigate and respond to this report.
