Goodwin, an international AmLaw 100 law firm, is pleased to offer a six-week summer internship, The Goodwin Edge Undergraduate Internship Program, designed for high-achieving undergraduate students interested in exploring careers in the legal profession.
Interns will support departments across Goodwin’s Global Operations (GO) Team and gain meaningful exposure to the business and innovation functions that power a leading law firm.
Internship opportunities are available in Boston, New York, and Washington, DC.
The Opportunity
As a Summer Intern, you will work alongside professionals across the GO! Team, contributing to real projects that support the firm’s attorneys, clients, and operations.
This program is ideal for students who are curious, motivated, and considering law school or a future in the legal industry.
What You'll Do:
- Provide administrative and project support to assigned GO! Team departments
- Collaborate on department-specific initiatives and deliverables
- Assist with document review, research, organizational projects, and preparation of summaries
- Support AI-related projects and innovation initiatives within the GO! Team
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, professional environment
- Participate in attorney shadowing, professional development programming, and networking opportunities across the firm
Who You Are:
- A rising junior or senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate institution
- Actively engaged on campus through academics, leadership, or extracurricular involvement
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project management skills
- An effective communicator with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal abilities
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a professional, team-oriented setting
- A motivated self-starter who takes initiative and follows tasks through to completion
- Client-service oriented, with the ability to maintain professionalism and discretion
- Interested in pursuing a career in the legal field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable conducting online research
