ScienceNews
"The book is attractively printed on glossy paper and the figures and pictures are well done. The book is suited well for a graduate student or inexperienced professional in clinical fields or molecular biology. It can be valuable to people who are thrust into their first presentation, job seminar, and job interview."
Jimmy D. Winter, Ecology

- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2019Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThis is a must-have for ESL instructors working with professionals in the sciences, but also good for native-speakers. Helpful, clear advice on presentations.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2007Format: PaperbackOne of the benefits of this book over other good public speaking books is that the authors really "get" what scientific talks need to be - not just engaging but full of factual information. The authors' tips for effectively using powerpoint to slowly introduce information to the audience is just one example of the type of sound tips offered with a real understanding of science speakers - and more importantly, science audiences.
