Quantum computing is advancing rapidly and proving to be useful for a wide range of applications. One of the major benefits is for some algorithms. Quantum computing provides a performance improvement. While a performance benchmark is useful, the unique nature of quantum computing requires some additional benchmarks to take into consideration. Come learn how a team is measuring a quantum computer's overall "quantumness" by using Simon's algorithm, over several hidden period strings, to determine how often the IBMQ quantum computer is correct.
All events, groups, organizations, and centers are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
