          <div>I am *thrilled* to share that we have figured out a way to hold GSMP this summer as we wait for a decision about our grant renewal! As such, we have just opened the <a href="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://bioethics.jhu.edu/education-training/mentorship/&amp;source=gmail-imap&amp;ust=1705093403000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw08mRZ_s5NtdD0SG2OPSYMs" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">application</a>! I am reaching out to ask you to share this information with advisees and students in your university who you think might be interested in our summer internship opportunity focused on the ethical, legal, and social implications of genetics and genomics.</div>
          <div>
          <br>The GSMP is open to undergraduate students interested in the ethics of science, clinical care, and/or public health and provides an opportunity for training, research, mentorship, and network development guided by the Berman Institutes' renowned faculty. We would like to connect with your students to discuss the program by offering a <strong>virtual information session via Zoom on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 12:00pm</strong> (zoom link).<br><br>We usually open applications in November and close February 1st; our recruitment was delayed this year, so we are running an accelerated recruitment period and keeping our <strong>application open until 11:59pm on February 15th</strong>. Our decisions will come out on the same schedule as in past years, in the first half of March.  </div>

  <Title>Health Communication Summer Internship at Westat</Title>

    <p><span>Westat's 11-week summer internship experiences will be hosted virtually, or on-site at our U.S. office-based locations. Our interns can expect to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.</span></p>

    <br><span>The program will begin on Monday, June 3, 2024, and end by August 16, 2024. During the summer internship program, you will be assigned a project deliverable and will present during the final week of the program. You will also attend educational programs and networking events.</span><br><br><span>This position will be remote and U.S. based. The pay rate for this role is $20/hr.</span><br><br><span>We are seeking an intern to join Westat's dynamic, award-winning health communication team. The successful candidate must understand content creation, partnerships, and social media. Experience in communicating with diverse populations, including children, young adults, and underserved populations preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.</span>

          <span>The LSI Project is an eleven-week summer internship designed to increase the knowledge and skills of student trainees in bio-statistics, epidemiology, and occupational safety and health.  The program begins with two weeks of intense educational training.  During the following eight weeks, interns conduct public health research with experts at community-based organizations, state and federal public health agencies.</span><br><br><strong>Program Eligibility</strong><br><span>Current junior, senior, or recent graduate (within one year) of an undergraduate institution</span><div><span><br></span></div>
