    <Title>Leading Women Scholarship</Title>
    <Tagline>Women majoring in public health with an interest in aging</Tagline>

          <div><p><span>The Daily Record and Keswick are announcing an exciting scholarship opportunity in conjunction with our upcoming Leading Women awards. We invite your institution to nominate and share.  </span><span> </span></p></div>

          <div>
          <p><span>This $2,000 scholarship will honor a student majoring in/pursuing a degree in geriatrics, gerontology, nursing, public health, or a health-related major with a focus on aging. To qualify, the student must attend a Maryland four-year, fully accredited, degree-granting college or university and be a junior or senior majoring in one of the fields listed.</span><span> </span></p>

          <p>The <a href="https://healthpromotion.umbc.edu/peer-health-educators/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Peer Health Education Program</a> is an unpaid internship offered through the Career Center. Students who participate can earn PRAC Internship credit and a nationally recognized peer educator certification. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain skills in leadership, public speaking, and interpersonal communication. <em>Undergraduate and graduate students from any academic background attending UMBC’s main campus are welcome to apply.</em></p>

    <span>AMWHO, or the American Mock World Health Organization, is a student organization that utilizes simulation techniques to enable students to learn about the policymaking processes involved in global health, drawing inspiration from the World Health Organization. With membership open to students from all academic backgrounds, AMWHO seeks to generate a heightened interest in global health issues on campus, while also increasing awareness of the numerous health challenges faced by our generation. Participation in AMWHO additionally provides opportunities for students to interact with leaders in public health, as well as other health-related fields such as health policy, anthropology, and geriatrics.</span><br>
