If you are interested in learning more about the legal name change process, the UMBC Counseling Center, the LGBTQ Faculty and Staff Association, and FreeState Justice have partnered to bring this informational event to UMBC trans, non-binary, and GNC students! The following is a description of the event from Dr. Sunny Swift:
"The UMBC Counseling Center and the UMBC LGBTQ Faculty and Staff Association is co-sponsoring a Legal Name Change Event for the Transgender, Non-Binary, and Gender Non Conforming UMBC Campus Community with FreeState Justice. The event will be held virtually on October 23rd from 1pm to 3pm. FreeState Justice will be providing information regarding legal name changes as well as initiate processes for individuals wishing to legally change their names.
