The purpose of this event is to help engage in the surrounding community, while also bringing attention to and supporting the UMBC Athletics Department Scholarship Fund. This fund is committed to providing scholarship support for UMBC student athletes. It plays a pivotal role in enabling the nearly 400 UMBC student athletes to be successful in the classroom, in competition, and in the community. Sunday is the First Annual UMBC Cycling Classic from 7:00am to 2:00pm. UMBC's Cycling Classic is the perfect opportunity to get outdoors, have some fun, and visit the campus. The Classic will start and end at the Retriever Activity Center (RAC) on UMBC's campus. With 15-, 32-, and 62-mile routes, there is sure to be something for everyone, and every fitness level.
