Retriever Essentials, a new UMBC initiative, is looking for a cart so that student volunteers can pick up non-perishable food donations across campus.
The non-perishable food is sorted, bagged and delivered to pick up zones on campus for students who are facing food insufficiency. This is a nationwide problem with approximately 25% of college students not having enough to eat.
If you have a cart that you are no longer using, we would love to have it to make moving food across campus easier. Please contact Julie Rosenthal at julier@umbc.edu
