UMBC community
members are in need of coats, hats, gloves and scarves as well as other items. Since we don't
have a coat closet, please join this group and post any warm weather
clothing that you want to give away on this group. The items in your
closet that aren't being used would be greatly appreciated by our
community.
About
This Group
THIS
SITE IS NOT TO GIVE AWAY UMBC PROPERTY OR SUPPLIES.
One
person's "stuff" is another person's "treasure". If
students, faculty or staff have items they own, that they no longer need (that
were not purchased with state, federal or grant money), they can post those
item(s) here. Anyone who needs the item(s) posted should contact the
poster and arrange a time to pick up on campus during daylight hours in a
location where other people are present.
Anyone
in need of anything can post an "In Search of",
"ISO". Anything that is legal, ethical, and doesn't hurt anyone
is fine to post as an ISO or as a "giveaway".
Suggested
items to give away or request are coffee makers and other small appliances,
hats, coats, gloves, scarves, furniture, etc.
Everything
must be clean and in good working condition, not recalled or damaged.
IMPORTANT:
All items are free of charge. No goods, services or money changes
hands. We have no storage space on campus for donated items, so all
transactions are done on an individual basis.
All events, groups, organizations, and centers are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
