I-fest is Wednesday, January 28th from 11:30 until 3 in the Commons. Stop by and support your team.
Important Competition Update: If you want to come to our competition but you have class and need a permission slip to give to your professor, contact our VP Jonathan (shulgac1@umbc.edu). There should be a few slips ready at I-fest.

Mission Statement (aka, what is RR)
Retriever Robotics (RR) has been established for the purpose of enhancing learning of robotics, encouraging competitive spirit, promoting fellowship and bonding within multidisciplinary fields, and motivating others to engage in STEM fields.
That sounds fancy. What's a quick summary?
The purpose of RR is to create a community of people who love robotics and we do so by participating in robotics projects, STEM Outreach, Professional Development, and socials.

- VEXU competition is on Feb 6th
- VEX training offered during the semester
STEM Outreach

- Let's Get Techy on Thursday 2/26
- Let's Get Techy is where middle school students come to UMBC and participate in 30 min STEM sessions. We will be teaching students Lego Mindstorms and building robots with them!
- First Lego League (FLL) on 2/28
- We'll be coaching and helping out! More details to come during our first GBM.
- Coordinating with middle and high schools to do robotics seminars

- Personally invited to represent UMBC as one of the few orgs there

- Robotics talk at Howard Community College (HCC)
- Battle O'Baltimore - Helped set-up
- RoboCEO - met CEOs of various companies and helped them play with robots
