In the penultimate week approaching the end of the SCIART program, the engineering team wrapped up the last of their work in preparation for SURF presentations. This work included continued programming of the microcontrollers to allow for a half-duplex communication system that was capable of identifying various sensor transmitters. While progress was made, the program is still incomplete.
Additionally, the results of one characterized RTD were verified, and ensured to provide accurate temperature predictions. At the end of the week, the team gave their last weekly presentation about the work they had achieved.
After adding the finishing touches to the project and presenting their results, the team worked on presentation posters, and a final report to document the progress, results, and the remaining work needed to finish the project.
The SCIART engineering students are eager to present their results to a welcome audience, and receive thoughts and suggestions about the project and its possibilities.
