    	GENERAL SUMMARY 
    The Business Sales Intern supports the Business (Direct) Sales Channel 
    team in their efforts to improve and enhance the Business Sales 
    department   s operational processes.  You   ll learn about inventory 
    and financial controls while you focus on Verizon Wireless   s 
    accountability and compliance for customer transactions. The skills you 
      ll develop during your internship represent key strengths that are 
    needed for a career in Business, Marketing, Sales, and Retail.
    Specific responsibilities may include the following: 
    Reporting:
       	Track and report on monthly productivity, sales, and Key Performance
     Indicator results with custom reports to show run rates.
       	 Monthly individual sales productivity reports to include all 
    commission adjustments.
       	 Pre-scrub of the sales ID adjustment report to identify accounts we
     can assign before the report is sent out.
       	Handle unique reports requests     tracking for contests, Key 
    Performance Indicator run rates, online tool utilization
       	Back-up to submit sales ID Adjustments weekly
       	Coordinate and attend Area meetings and focus groups to develop 
    channel initiatives to improve sales productivity.
       	Research and calculate OC&amp;C   s
    Project Management:
       	Coordinate marketing for B2B team
       	Support regional employee day events
       	Assist with the integration of new ideas and marketing strategies
       	Coordinate onsite events and order phone show items as needed 
       	Create uniform phone show kit/display creating a professional look 
    and feel for events

    <span>Information Session</span><br>Thursday, April 26<br>11 am - 1 pm<br>Commons 331<br><br>The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is seeking students for summer hires under the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP).The STEP is designed to integrate the student's educational studies with a wide range of clerical, administrative, and professional experiences that support the mission of BLS.<br><br>The following positions are available at the GS-4 Level :<br>Computer Clerk<br>Administrative Clerk<br>Economics Clerk<br>Statistical Clerk<br><br>Students will typically work full-time during the summer months. At the end of summer and if there is a continued need, some students may be allowed to continue employment on a part-time basis.  Part-time hours will be determined by the hiring manager and budgetary constraints.<br><br>BLS will be on campus at a table in the Commons from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, April 19 and holding an information session in Commons 331 on Thursday, April 26.  Be sure to stop by to get more information about this outstanding opportunity!<br><br>VETERAN'S PREFERENCE <br>If you have served on active duty in the United States military and were separated under honorable conditions, you may be eligible for veterans' preference.     <div>The Clinical Intern (MUST BE WORKING TOWARDS A Bachelor of Social Work or Psychology) is responsible for providing case management assistance for a small caseload of children and families, and assisting with individual, dyad and group therapeutic programming for the unit.</div>

    <div>Interns may assist in coordinating and/or supervising visitation for appropriate family members.   S/he will learn to complete routine clinical paperwork including</div>
    <div>psychosocial assessments, contact notes and discharge summaries, and outcomes data</div>
    <div>collection.</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div>The BSW Clinical Intern serves as a member of a multidisciplinary team, will attend appropriate clinical meetings (i.e. medication review, treatment team, admissions) as possible based on the assigned days in field, and may serve as a direct link to the community through case management activities.  The Clinical Intern may also be involved with special projects for the unit, based on interest and need.</div>

    <div>The <a href="http://www.macpac.gov" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission</a> (MACPAC) is seeking a full-time, one- year paid Policy and Research intern. MACPAC internship positions are intellectually challenging and require individual initiative and an ability to monitor and report on current health policy events and issues related to Medicaid and CHIP.</div>

    <div>About the Commission:</div>
    <div>MACPAC is a Congressional support agency that provides independent, nonpartisan policy and data analysis on payment, access and other issues affecting Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). MACPAC’s charge is to provide objective advice to the Congress on Medicaid and CHIP, the federal government’s largest programs providing health care coverage to low-income individuals.     <div><br></div>
    <div>Position Summary</div>
    <div>Policy and Research interns have knowledge of state and federal Medicaid and CHIP policy and program issues and assist with research projects on and information gathering for several Medicaid and CHIP policy issues to support Commission meetings and reports. Policy and Research interns are expected to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, balance multiple project responsibilities, and have exceptional oral and written communication skills.</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div>Major Duties</div>
    <div>• Assist with quantitative or quality research projects on various Medicaid and CHIP topics, as directed;</div>
    <div>• Support staff teams with project planning for internal and extramural policy analysis and research;</div>
    <div>• Identify and compile information to support evaluations of Medicaid and CHIP policies and programs, policy options for consideration by the Commission, and staff presentations at regular Commission meetings;</div>
    <div>• Assist in preparing and fact-checking the analytic content for two annual reports to the Congress in March and June of each year as mandated in statute;</div>
    <div>• Coordinate with team members, as appropriate;</div>
    <div>• Assist in maintaining databases and compile statistical reports and data summaries, including graphics and tables that portray data, for use in policy analyses, research papers, briefings, and reports for senior staff;</div>
    <div>• Use spreadsheet and statistical software (e.g., Excel or SAS) to conduct statistical analyses, as applicable;</div>
    <div>• Assist in preparing analyses of relevant legislative and regulatory documents; and</div>
    <div>• Perform other duties as assigned. </div>

    <div>Education Requirements</div>
    <div>Completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in health policy, health services research, public policy, public health, public administration, statistics, economics, or other related field.</div>

            General Shelter is a new site and is the first where

            by Friday, April 6, 2012.<br><br>Organization:<br>The CDF Freedom Schools® program is an educational and cultural enrichment program. Our program provides summer options for children where there are none and strengthens parent and community involvement in the year-round achievement of children. We serve children ages 5 to 18 for five to eight weeks and integrate reading, conflict resolution, and social action in an activity-based curriculum to promote social, cultural, and historical awareness.<br><br>Founded in 1995 by the Children’s Defense Fund’s Black Community Crusade for Children® (BCCC) initiative and today coordinated nationally by the Children’s Defense Fund in partnership with well-established and effective local and regional child-serving organizations, the CDF Freedom Schools program is a direct service initiative. CDF’s Leave No Child Behind® mission is to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities. The project director position requires training sessions conducted by CDF Freedom Schools national staff at the historic CDF Alex Haley Farm in Clinton, Tennessee.<br><br>College-age young people and recent college graduates play a key role in the Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools program as servant leader interns. CDF Freedom Schools servant leader interns are responsible for the front-line care and nurturing of the children. Using the Integrated Reading Curriculum, they serve as facilitators in the classroom and as leaders of parent workshops and community outreach activities.<br><br>Responsibilities<br>• Deliver the Integrated Reading Curriculum to a class of no more than ten students for 6–8 weeks during the summer months, according to the standards developed by the Children's Defense Fund and the local program sponsor.<br>• Set up and break down his/her classroom space, including securing and organizing the appropriate materials.<br>• Collaborate with staff to establish and maintain a supportive and structured environment for the children entrusted to their care.<br>• Serve as a Harambee! leader each day of program operation.<br>• Serve as a leader of afternoon activities and other special events; chaperone field trips.<br>• Participate fully in the June National Training from June 3–10, 2012. (1st, 2nd and 3rd year servant leader interns only).<br><br>Qualifications<br>• Must be between 19 – 30 years of age, completed at least one year of college, and have plans to complete the college degree<br>• Maintain or have graduated with at least a 3.0 G.P.A.<br>• Solid commitment to children’s advocacy and enthusiasm for the Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools program<br>• Ability to motivate others and work as part of an intergenerational team<br>• Strong appreciation and understanding of individual cultural history and the willingness to be open and respectful of all cultures<br>• Willingness to strive for excellence in all areas<br>• Ability to think critically and analytically<br>• Exhibit positive attitude; model a mature and professional demeanor<br>• Excellent written and verbal skills<br>• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to the character, humility, and servant leadership ethics of Ella Baker<br>• Current voter registration<br>• Authorization for background check for criminal and child protective findings<br><br>
