The Yahoo! News politics desk intern is a hands-on journalism internship based in our D.C. bureau. You will be involved in the daily workings of putting together the world's most-read news site. The ideal candidate is a digital savvy newshound who is willing to work on all aspects of putting our political coverage together. It's an especially exciting role during this election year--and the right candidate will leave prepared to land a great job at any news organization. 

Responsibilities:

--Write for The Ticket

--Research articles and topics for Yahoo! News reporters

--Post to Y! News social media accounts

--Various editorial publishing tasks as needed

Basic/Minimum Job Qualifications:

We are looking for students for this position. 

--Must have previous blogging experience and working knowledge of the social web

--Should passionately follow politics

--Detail-oriented and willing to work on a range of tasks need to get Y! News stories up

--Must be HTML literate and comfortable with web publishing standards

--Enjoy working in a fast-paced, newsroom environment
