James X. Bembry, PhD a 1975 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross released his first novel, “A Crack in the Heights”, published by Star 86. It tells the story of two long-time friends, Salem and Sam, who battle the 1980’s crack cocaine epidemic scourging their community. Together, they are determined to save their beloved Heights, by any means necessary!
