Introduction to Social Work

This core course introduces students to the social work profession and to
generalist practice. Students will learn concepts central to understanding the
profession’s work on behalf of vulnerable populations. The course includes an overview of the nation's social service delivery system, social inequality, and social work advocacy.

This course provides an introduction to the information and skills necessary for
generalist social work practice with immigrants and refugees. Fulfills
