The Office of Accessibility and Disability Services is celebrating May as Mental Health Awareness Month. Established in 1949, this celebration raises awareness of the importance of mental health, self-care and the importance of support and treatment options for personal and community health. Learn more about mental health and practices such as sleep and exercise that can enhance mental well-being.

Want to be more effective with mental health in the community? Get trained in Mental Health First Aid through the UHS's office of Health Promotion which offers it twice each semester. Call 410-455-2546 to find out about the next class.
Faculty and staff who are struggling with a situation may have support and referral through the employee assistance program [link], as well as through their insurance networks.
And let's not forget that the stress of the end of the semester has many campus partners supporting stress relief, such as the Women's Center is having a self-care day on May 14th and the Mosaic Center is having a Relaxation Station on May 15th.
