Monthly Speaker Series #3 Matt aka "@rockin_librarian

UMBC Students for Democracy welcomes Matt, known online as @rockin_librarian on TikTok, to discuss his background in democratic politics, the current political moment, and his experience as an online debate creator with a disability. Matt has over 80k followers, hundreds of livestream viewers - and atreams regularly with other content creaters in the space such as @parkergetajob . Matt is a librarian by training and brings a research-driven approach to political dialogue. His work online focuses on promoting civic and media literacy and advocating for liberal, democratic policies. He will be speaking about his story as well as answering questions about his work and discourse.
