Description

The goal of the medical system is to provide optimal care for all patients. In a multiethnic society, this goal can be accomplished if people working in the health care field have a basic understanding of why certain cultures do the things that they do. EHS 340 will give the student some idea of the range of cultural behaviors and the need to understand others’ actions from the perspective of the other person’s culture. Students will also explore some alternatives when it comes to providing culturally competent care.

EHS 340 was recently approved to fulfill the Culture GEP.
