          <div class="html-content"><div>UMBC's <a href="https://sustainability.umbc.edu/home/learn-more-new/about/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Sustainability Director</a> was invited to serve as a peer reviwer on NASA's Equity &amp; Environmental Justice Panel Review. The panel will meet this May to review proposals submitted in response to the NASA Research Announcement: <a href="https://nspires.nasaprs.com/external/solicitations/summary.do?solId=%7b9C5CDB21-B9B4-AFE8-8435-052107DDDAEA%7d&amp;path=&amp;method=init" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">ROSES-21 A.49 NNH21ZDA001N-EEJ.</a></div><div><br></div><div>The A.49 solicitation looks to advance progress on equity and environmental justice (EEJ) domestically through the application of Earth science, geospatial, and socioeconomic information. The solicitation focuses on three elements: </div><div><br></div><div>1. Landscape analyses to support characterization of EJ communities to support planning and investment decisions on EEJ</div><div><br></div><div>2. Community-based feasibility projects to test ways to address EEJ issues facing communities with the help of Earth science information </div><div><br></div><div>3.
