    <Tagline>ASFPM Foundation Future Leaders Scholarship</Tagline>

          <div class="html-content"><span><span><p><span>The
           <a href="https://www.asfpmfoundation.org/scholarships/future-leaders-scholarship" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">ASFPM Foundation Future Leaders Scholarship</a> is a two-year scholarship 
          awarded annually to a deserving college student entering their junior 
          year of undergraduate studies or the last two years of a 5-year or dual 
          degree undergraduate program. <strong>The Future Leaders Scholarship is intended
           to advance flood risk management research and practice.</strong> The ASFPM 
          Foundation has established eligibility criteria, and along with a 
          demonstration of financial need, the student must be pursuing a course 
          of study related to the missions of the ASFPM and ASFPM Foundation. 
          Also, after graduation the student must plan to work in a profession 
          that directly, or indirectly, supports the field of flood risk 
          management.</span></p>
          	<h3>Applications
           are now being accepted for the Fall 2022 to Spring 2024 Future Leaders 
          Scholarship. Applicants must complete an online application. The 
          application and all required attachments for the ASFPM Foundation Future
           Leaders Scholarship must be received by the application deadline of 
          February 1, 2022.</h3><span>
          		<p><span><span>Purpose of the </span><span>ASFPM Foundation Future Leaders Scholarship</span><span>: <br>
          					</span></span><span>ASFPM
           Foundation’s vision for this scholarship is to create an additional 
          means to advance flood risk management research and practice by helping 
          to support the education of future flood risk management professionals. 
          Each scholarship will be awarded to a deserving college student who 
          plans to work after graduation in a profession that directly, or 
          indirectly, supports the field of flood risk management. The selected 
          scholar will receive direct financial assistance, mentoring and support 
          finding a paid summer internship in a relevant professional setting.</span></p></span></span></span></div>

    <Title>$2,000 National Recycling Coalition Scholarship</Title>

          <div class="html-content"><span>Students with a passion for social and environmental justice principles and an interest in the recycling industry are encouraged to apply for a 2021 Murray J. Fox Scholarship of $2,000. Approximately three scholarships will be awarded. Funds are provided to assist with education expenses, along with membership in the National Recycling Coalition, plus admission to the National Recycling Congress, happening virtually from Nov. 3-4. Applications will be accepted through Oct. 1.</span><div><span><br></span></div><div><div>The Murray J. Fox Scholarship Fund was created in 1994 to honor one of the founding members of the National Recycling Coalition through an endowment to continue his legacy of fostering future leaders.   Since then, more than $135,0000 has been awarded to dozens of students.  A tribute to him is posted at the NRC Campus Council's web page: <a href="http://www.nrcrecycles.org/campus">www.nrcrecycles.org/campus</a><br><br>This year, 1-3 college students will be awarded between $1,000 and $3,000 to assist with their education expenses.  Recipients will also receive membership in the NRC and complementary admission and recognition at the National Recycling Congress, being held virtually, November 3-4, 2021. <br><br>Funding will be focused this year on advancing students' academic and professional interests in social justice aspects of the recycling industry.  Examples include COVID safety for custodians, climate action, and collaboration with the NRC's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council.  <br><br>Applications are accepted through October 1st.  Apply at:</div><div><br>Submit questions to Jack DeBell, Campus Council Chair: <a href="mailto:CampusCouncil@NRCrecycles.org">CampusCouncil@NRCrecycles.org</a>. </div></div><div><br></div><div>More information is available at <a href="https://nrcrecycles.org/campus">https://nrcrecycles.org/campus</a></div></div>
