Thanks to UMBC President Freeman A. Hrabowski III for taking a stand on climate change!
We're proud to stand w/ over a thousand of leaders to say "we are still in". We will
act on climate & honor Paris commitments.
We are committed to ambitious action on climate change. We intend to move forward with efforts to reduce carbon pollution and support the transition to a low carbon economy regardless of what the Trump Administration does regarding the Paris Agreement.
We are still in. We’ve joined over 1,000 of U.S. businesses, investors, states, cities, and universities pledging to help the US deliver on its international climate commitments.
Despite the Trump Administration’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris
Agreement, major players in the US economy are stepping up and forging ahead
on climate action.
We are committed to doing our part to drive down carbon pollution and fight
climate change. The states, cities, colleges, universities, businesses and
investors driving the U.S. economy will continue to pursue ambitious climate
goals, working together to ensure our nation remains a global leader in reducing
emissions.
We represent the broadest cross section of the American economy yet
assembled in pursuit of climate action. Together, our efforts can deliver concrete
emissions reductions that will contribute towards meeting US targets under the
Paris Agreement.
The Paris Agreement is a blueprint for job creation, stability and global prosperity.
We recognize its critical importance and will continue to pursue a clean energy
future as the best chance we have to create jobs, promote trade, spur innovation,
and preserve American competitiveness in a 21st century economy.
Through a unified voice, we want to let the rest of the world know that, absent
leadership from our federal government, Americans still believe in the promise of
the Paris Agreement.
