The UMBC Social Work Department would like to invite you to a WATCH PARTY for the 2025 NASW Social Work Student Advocacy Day this Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 8:45 am - 3:30 pm!!

Join over 400 social work students from across Maryland in this LIVE VIRTUAL WEBINAR EVENT! You will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about the legislative process
• Receive updates on current state bills concerning various social issues
• (Virtually) Attend legislative hearings and workshops on relevant social work advocacy issues
• Network with students across the state

We understand that this is an ALL DAY VIRTUAL event and students have class, work, and other obligations. We hope to see you in Room 310 of the University Center at whatever time is best for you to participate.

** A sign in and sign out form will be available to verify your attendance for professors. IF YOU ARE IN FIELD, please ask your field instructor for permission to count the hours. The sign in and out sheet will be shared with your field liaisons so they are aware of your attendance.
