Professor Kerri Evans, PhD, LCSW, is facilitating a training session titled "Emerging: Empathy Building Training for Working with Immigrants." This training will be held this Friday, April 4th, from 12:00 pm to 1:15 pm.

Individuals will participate in a research-based board game that helps them experience the challenges, people, and systems that can help immigrants succeed in the US. Afterwards, participants will engage in a conversation about the board game experience where they critically think about the value of cross-agency work, how we define success, and how different groups of immigrants are impacted disparately by policies and practices. 

We highly suggest this training as it is very informative and allows you to practice social work knowledge outside of the classroom!
