Digital communications are taking center stage during this moment of distance learning. Now, more than ever, it is crucial that the language we use in campus messages, stories, social media, and websites reflects our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Join us in exploring the intricacies of using inclusive language to create engaging communications and to reach the widest audience. This one-day UMBC mini conference is free, online, and open to higher ed communicators across the mid-Atlantic. Register here to attend as many sessions fit in your schedule.

The first 20 people to register will receive a copy of The Diversity Style Guide by Rachele Kanigel, a professor of journalism at San Francisco State University. UMBC students, faculty and staff are not included in this giveaway, but will have access to a staff copy of the book.
