Delayed Opening – Inclement Weather – Sunday, December 14, 2025 Plan ahead and stay safe!

Good evening Retrievers and Valued Riders, 

Sunday, December 14, 2025 – Due to forecasted inclement weather overnight, including 2–3 inches of snow, UMBC Transit will operate on a two-hour delayed opening. Our team will continue to assess roads conditions and will provide updates as needed. 

First Bus departures will be as follows: 

Plan ahead and stay safe! We will continue monitoring conditions to ensure your safety. Please checkhere for the latest updates on inclement weather advisories and route changes.

Transit Tips for Safe Travel:

  • Dress warmly and prepare for slick surfaces due to potential snow or ice.
  • Use the Transit App for real-time bus tracking, and allow extra time when walking to your stop.
  • Exercise caution when boarding and avoid running to catch the bus.

Dear Retrievers and Valued Transit Riders,

Due to the rain-showers and slick road surfaces, UMBC’s main campus will open at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. UMBC Transit will begin service at 8:00 AM, with the first bus departing campus at 9:00 AM.

First Bus Departures:

  1. Paradise – 8:00 AM
  2. Downtown – 8:00 AM
  3. Arbutus – 8:00 AM
  4. Catonsville – 8:00 AM
  5. Route 40 – 8:00 AM
  6. BWI MARC – 7:50 AM
